The second Kentucky Soccer Hall of Fame
inductions were held August 8, 2009 at the Marriot Griffin Gate
Resort in conjunction with the Kentucky Youth Soccer Awards
luncheon. Over 300 soccer enthusiast were on hand to witness the
induction of the six additional members of the Hall of Fame. Tim
Turney, Kentucky Youth President and Peggy Polley, Kentucky Adult
Chair jointly hosted the event which was conducted by 2008 US Adult
Soccer National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee, Brian Darling. The Kentucky Soccer Hall of Fame is a joint project of the youth and adult soccer associations who govern soccer in Kentucky as members of the United States Soccer Federation and FIFA. The inaugural Kentucky Soccer Hall of Fame inductions were held August 2, 2008 at the Marriot Griffin Gate Resort in conjunction with the Kentucky Youth Soccer Awards luncheon. Over 300 soccer enthusiast were on hand to witness the induction of the first ten members of the Hall of Fame. Tim Turney, Kentucky Youth President and Peggy Polley, Kentucky Adult Chair jointly hosted the event and were assisted by 2008 US Adult Soccer National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee, Brian Darling.
