Tony Guffy
  • Co-founder of Soccer Association for Youth at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in 1975 and was league President for the first two years.

  • Founded the Champion Soccer School, Inc., a non-profit organization, and was the director for 23 years.

  • Was one of the first Kentuckians to attain an USSF National “C”   Coaching License in 1980.

  • Coached a team representing Louisville in an International Tournament in Montpellier, France. That group stayed together and formed the Louisville Soccer Club which was one of the first competitive clubs in Kentucky.

  • Coached five State Championship Soccer teams - Westport 1978 & 80, Male 1983 and Ballard 1986 & 87 and was selected Coach of the Year of the Southeastern United States by the National High School Coaches Association.

  • The first soccer coach inducted into the KHSAA Hall of Fame in 1991 n Assistant Coach of the Louisville Thunder Professional Soccer Team in 1987 & 88.
