Wayne Mayes

  • Became involved in soccer at the YMCA in Louisville when his son Brandon began playing at the age of 4

  • Served as the head coach of the Louisville Spirit

  • Served as the Greater Louisville Soccer League Treasurer and Vice President of Fields

  • Team manager for the first Javanon youth team

  • Coached for the Oldham Thoroughbred competitive team from 1999-2004

  • Was still playing competitively outdoor and indoor until 3 years ago, when he decided that the legs were ready for a rest, and hung up the boots
