Vic Whatley

  • Moved from England in 1963 started refereeing adult league games in about 1970

  • Coached his first soccer team at Beechmont Youth Soccer league and then at SAY soccer

  • Helped found SAY Soccer at Tom Sawyer state park and served as president for a number of years.

  • Became the president of the Greater Louisville Adult Soccer league and under his guidance the league expanded to 3 divisions.

  • Helped found the 6v6 soccer tournament run in conjunction annually with the Kentucky Derby
