98 Teams Compete in the Eighth Annual Cup in Owensboro

The Eurosport Challenge Cup is the State Cup for U9-U12 teams.  Winners of the Eurosport Challenge Cup do not advance to further US Youth Soccer Regional competition.

The Eurosport Challenge Cup will be played over two weekends.  The first weekend was played in Owensboro May 17-18 at the Horse Fork Creek Park and the second weekend were played at Lover's Lane Soccer Complex in Bowling Green May 31-June 1. 

This tournament is open to any properly registered Kentucky Youth Soccer team aged U9-U12 that has competed (or will compete) in a 4 team league in the 2007-08 seasonal year.

The Kentucky Youth Soccer Association (KYSA) Eurosport State Championship was initiated and organized in 2000 to enhance the accomplishments competitive players achieve by participating is a state championship tournament for those age groups not yet eligible to advance to regional and national play. The development of all players within KYSA is advanced when the player meets personal challenges.

The Eurosport Challenge Cup is open to teams ages Under 9 through Under 12, both boys and girls. Beginning in 2006,The Eurosport Challenge Cup dates were changed to first rounds on the 3rd Weekend of May and the Finals on the first weekend of June.
