Louisville Soccer Park
served as the venue for the Inaugural Eurosport Challenge Cup
presented by The Kentucky Youth Soccer Association the first
weekend in June of 2001
Working in cooperation with long time partner,
Eurosport, KYSA introduced an new OPEN cup for younger players
for Spring. Kentucky Youth Soccer Open Cup rules will apply.
Under 9 and Under 10 will be small sided with reduced game times as
specified in the state rules Javanon SC
hosted the inaugural competition. |

The Snickers Cup has allowed competition for U11-U12
in past but with the new Cup, the competition will be expanded to U9s and
U10s as well. Going forward, the Snickers Cup will include U13-U19
only. The Kentucky Youth Soccer Association (KYSA)
Eurosport State Championship was initiated and organized in 2000 to
enhance the accomplishments competitive players achieve by participating
is a state championship tournament for those age groups not yet
eligible to advance to regional and national play. The development of all
players within KYSA is advanced when the player meets personal
challenges.
The Eurosport Challenge Cup is open to teams ages
Under 9 through Under 12, both boys and girls.
The Eurosport Challenge Cup will be held annually on
the first weekend in June. The 2001 cup was held in Louisville,
Kentucky and was hosted by the Javanon SC. The 2002 cup will be held in
Bowling Green, Kentucky and will be hosted by Southern Kentucky Soccer (SOKY)
at their Lovers Lane Soccer Complex
