2007 Kentucky Kohl's American Cup
Spring State Recreational
Cup for U10-U16 |
|
|
 The 2007 Kohl’s
American Cup was completed over the weekend of June 16-17 at the
Oldham County Soccer Complex in Buckner, Kentucky. The
tournament included a record 102 teams, 54 mixed and 48 girls in the
Under 10 through Under 16 age groups
Other than some
warm weather on both weekends, the weather cooperated and we were
able to get all the games in without a single delay. Once again the
competition during both weekends was very good producing several
close outcomes in both semi-final and final games.
I would like to
take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers, teams, players,
parents, administrators, and referee spectators in making this event
so successful. I would also like to thank Andy Deck, Steve Bryant,
Elizabeth Corbitt. Dennis Lawrey and the rest of Oldham County Youth Soccer for
their wonderful hospitality over the last two weekends and for
providing the players with a wonderful opportunity to participate on
top quality facilities. Thank you again and we hope to see you back
at Kohl’s Cup next year.

The Kentucky Youth Soccer
Association (KYSA) American Cup was initiated and organized to enhance the
accomplishments recreational players achieve by participating is a state
championship tournament. The
development of all players within KYSA is advanced when the player meets
personal challenges. The American Cup is designed to encourage and honor the
recreational player by allowing the player to compete for both team and personal
goals. |
