The 2004 American Cup Finals were held the weekend of June 19-20 at the Lovers Lane Soccer Complex is Bowling Green.  Following the district playoffs, 39 teams remained to play for the title of "2004 American Cup Champions" in the U12-U16 mixed and girls age groups.  By Sunday afternoon 10 teams remained to battle out the finals in their respective age groups.

The weather was beautiful all weekend and the competition was extremely competitive.  Congratulations to all the teams that participated for making the finals, and a special congratulations to those teams advancing to the finals.  It was a great weekend of soccer and we look forward to seeing everyone at the final Chevy Cup in the fall.

I would like to take a moment to thank all the players, parents, coaches, referees, and administrators for all of their hard work and dedication.  I would also like to give a special thanks to Southern KY Soccer, Chris Durbin, Sarah Flener, and all of their volunteers for all the hard work they put into hosting this event.  Thank you all again and we hope to see you in the fall. -- Dave McIver
